We selected a beautiful piece of 3/16″ Alabama Damascus and built this drop point hunter, which is decked with a copper guard along with Desert Ironwood scales.

Steel:  Alabama Damascus (4 layers 5160, 3 layers 203E, 3 layers 52100, 3 layers 15N20 folded 5 times for 416 layer damascus)

Grind:  Hollow

Heat treated and quenched in light oil formula 2

Temper:  Single draw temper at 400 F

Handle:  Desert Ironwood with decorative yellow-black-yellow spacer sandwiched between copper guard and tang as well as between scales and tang

Decorative file work:  Rope pattern

Blade Finish:  Etched with Ferric Acid

Furniture:  Copper guard, pins, and lanyard liner

Sheath Material:  8 oz. vegetable tanned tooling leather with hand-sown, double-stitched, waxed, 1mm dark brown threading.

Sheath Color:  Chocolate brown with chocolate brown burnished ends, dark brown stitching and decorative light brown inlay pattern.
